It is the purpose of the PTO to promote education of the highest quality by working with parents, teachers, students, administrators and the community in the following ways:

  • Facilitate and encourage cooperation between teachers and parents
  • Facilitate and encourage parental involvement in school-related activities that require the services of assistants or volunteers
  • Support projects that contribute to the general welfare of the students and school.
If you would like to get involved or see your PTO in action, attend a meeting. PTO meetings are usually held on the second Friday of the month at 8:30 AM. Click here to see a list of our meeting dates and times. Everyone is welcome to attend PTO meetings.

The PTO actively supports and enhances the education of the children of River Forest School District 90. We function as a channel for communication between home and school. As such, the PTO conceives, develops, funds and executes programs:

  • To enhance and enrich the learning environment
  • To offer fun and educational opportunities for the family
  • To model and encourage community service
  • To provide exposure to areas outside the curriculum
