Frequently Asked Questions
The Roosevelt PTO offers a Fun Lunch program to offer students a ‘fun lunch’ twice per week (and give parents a lunch prep break!).
Our program is restaurant-based, meaning families can order a variety of meals from designated restaurants each week. Our partner delivers the lunches (each labeled with a student’s name) and these lunches are distributed to lunchrooms. Participation with Fun Lunch is voluntary.

Who organizes Fun Lunch?
The Roosevelt PTO manages our Fun Lunch program. Need to get a hold of the PTO? Email Roosevelt@district90pto.org.
What partner manages Fun Lunch?
Marla’s Lunch offers quality-driven, good food delivered to schools. The organization is female-owned and local to Chicago.
How often is Fun Lunch?
Fun Lunch occurs every Tuesday and Friday, when school is in session. Fun Lunch starts the first Tuesday after Labor Day.
Which restaurants do you offer?
We typically change our restaurant partners each quarter. For Q1 2024, our restaurant partners are: Culver’s, Alba Pizza & Pasta, Firehouse Subs and Marla’s.
Do you accommodate allergies or food sensitivities?
Fun Lunch meals typically note their ingredients and we work to accommodate as many students’ food needs as possible. Each day has a gluten free option and also a vegetarian choice. We unfortunately can’t guarantee information about allergens as the food is prepared by restaurants.
What payments do you accept?
The program accepts debit or credit cards: Visa, MasterCard and Discover. We also have an ACH/ECheck option.

If I am a returning family, how do I login?
Sign in with your existing username and password, then update your student(s) profile(s) by clicking on their name and selecting their grade from the drop down menu. Then click ‘update profile.’
If a student has graduated, you can click on their name and mark ‘remove profile.’
If I am new to Roosevelt or Marla’s, how do I order?
Go to Marla’s Lunch and create an account. Click on ‘New to Boonli’ and entire a one-time school password: RFSD322 (case sensitive).
Note: Please enter YOUR information for the account registration and enter the STUDENT’s information for their profile.
How do I know my child’s lunchroom?
Your child’s lunchroom appears on their schedule, which is available on Powerschool.
What is the school code for making an account?

How can I tell if I ordered Fun Lunch on a particular date?
There are 2 ways to check:
On the main Marla’s lunch page in the upper left corner of the ‘Welcome’ box is an option to ‘view/print orders. This will display a calendar view of what’s been ordered and can be printed if needed.
Also in ‘Welcome’ box there is the order area (Roosevelt 5 & 7, Roosevelt 6 & 8). Click on the ‘box’ for your child and a calendar will appear showing small numbers on the days an order has been placed.
Orange number: Number of orders than have been placed
Light blue number: Order has been placed in cart, but not completed
Red: No Fun Lunch that day
Can I order multiple lunches at a time?
YES! It may be most efficient for your family to order a month or a quarter at a time. You may make changes to your Fun Lunch order until the Wednesday before each week begins.
If your order is less than $15 (at one time), Marla’s system charges a $1 fee.
Order Changes or Cancellations
What if my child is absent from school on a day Fun Lunch was ordered?
You have two options:
Call the school office prior to lunch and arrange to pick up the lunch (often held in the front office)
Donate the lunch to a student or faculty member who doesn’t have a lunch
If you are aware of an upcoming absence and have already ordered, you may cancel the order up to the Wednesday before the week begins.
How can I change (or cancel) an order?
In the calendar view discussed above, click on the order and select ‘edit’ or ‘cancel.’ Keep in mind it must be before the lockout date (the Wednesday before the week begins). Once the colored circles become gray, they can no longer be changed.
If I cancel an order will I get a refund?
You will receive a credit in your account to be used on the next order. This credit will be automatically applied. Refunds are only given when a student leaves the school.
